UPDATE: Usual Wednesday lunch with two of my sisters from another mister. The Couchiching Brewery has just canned more of its delicious beers so I bought a dozen Meadow Haze. Tasty and crisp IPA, lovely grapefruit notes, very refreshing! ___________ Soft Opening: The new BBFC is a wonderful success. Jenna and the staff have created a very tasty experience. I had the Pork Barbicoa Tacos with Caesar salad and an Aperol soda. Tremendous!
I would rate this higher if I could. So glad we discovered this restaurant which caters just as much to vegetarians and vegans as it does to carnivores. 3/4 of their menu has vegetarian options or can be modified into a vegetarian choice. The “veggie chicken” made with soy, and the “veggie beef” made with chickpeas was DELICIOUS. Much better than ANY burger made of animal meat I’ve ever had! So many great appetizers too. We found the poppers were a little overpriced. 5 pub style poppers for 10. Aside from that, everything was fair. Lots of great brews on tap. Extensive kids menu for picky eaters. They offer a children’s grilled cheese which is not listed. Paper straws for drinks even the kids drink which is awesome! Chocolate peanut butter stack was SO good. Will recommend and return again, and again, and again!
We had the best experience working with Allie, and the staff for our engagement party. The food and drinks were delicious, and everyone had a great time! We’re so happy and grateful. We definitely recommend you host an event here!
What a great experience! Food was exceptionally delicious. I ordered the fish and chips with a side of gravy. The whole meal was excellent. Batter on the fish was light and crispy. The side of gravy was just the right amount. The patio was so pleasant to watch everything. Can’t wait to visit again!
A lovely dine in lunch and pub split in the heart of Orillia! The restaurant sat our table of 11 easily and it did not feel crowded. The food was served in big portions so got a bonus of having extra to takeaway. Could accommodate dietary restrictions and were knowledgeable on the sneaky contaminates (I’m looking at you sauces). Overall, a great lunch with great company, recommend for families, dates, friends and every type of lunch bunch in between!
Stopped in for a drink and an appetizer during a motorcycle ride. Had the whipped feta with pita, the flavour was spot on. The size was enough for 4 people to share before a meal. My wife had the wheat beer, and I had IPA. Both were very good. We sat on the patio. The service was quick and knowledgeable. We stopped at the retail store on our way out and got a few cans for home. Will be back when we are in the area.
Great service! I was also surprised with how good the quality of food was considering the price. The portion sizes were also generous and everything had nice flavour. Definitely recommend! I got the coconut shrimp, fish tacos, and the kitchen sink burger.
